What’s the premise? Food, of course. And friends. And so on. Hopefully more travel. More food.
If you’re reading this, I’m impressed, but you’re probably asking, God, why another food blog? Why, indeed (you’ll find many more entertaining authors than I), but food nerds just need an outlet, I think. When I was in cooking school, I dreamed of living a life of all food, all the time. I found out pretty quickly that I couldn’t afford to cook for a living, so here I am: a nonprofessional, compulsive home baker and cook, obsessed with cooking, eating, cookbooks, kitchen tools, and food writing, and determined to spread the word that everyone can eat brilliantly with just a bit of interest and effort.
So Taste for Salt is both a by-product and instigator: a means of recording at least a few of my nonstop foodish musings, and a reminder (if only to myself) that no matter how busy I am, a girl’s gotta eat. Buon appetito!
